Publications:

Update, a newsletter of ideas, reviews, opinions and articles related to the various facets of adult education, is published quarterly. MACAE members can share wisdom about best practices, methods and theories that most influence their work as educators. 

Practical Thinking, a journal of critical thought, is a collaborative venture with the Minnesota Independent Scholars Forum which is published three times a year. It encourages the practical scholarship of members in both organizations by inviting them to explore and analyze themes of common interest.

Happenings:

MACAE holds a Fall Conference to provide workshops for professional development. Individual and program awards are granted each year by a committee of professional peers that are announced and presented at the Fall Conference.

MACAE holds Issues Forums regularly to explore current and emerging issues and trends that affect adult education, adult educators and students.

MACAE schedules Book Connections three to four times a year to review and discuss books related to adult learning.

Recognition:

MACAE nominations for individual awards and program awards are reviewed and determined by committee and presented during the Fall Conference.
