What is MACAE?
MACAE is a statewide organization of professionals who practice the principles of adult education. MACAE provides a stimulating social and intellectual environment for adult learners, educators, facilitators, and trainers.
The Minnesota Association for Continuing Adult Education is an
institutionally based membership organization. Its membership is
composed of regionally accredited, degree-granting universities
and colleges, and individuals at these member institutions are eligible
to join the Association as professional members.
Vision Statement
MACAE is a professional association that provides social and intellectual
vitality to its members who are involved in adult education. We
have an annual conference, a newsletter, membership directory, and
Issue Forums. Our members work in community, continuing, secondary
and higher education; libraries; ESL; diploma programs; nonprofit
agencies; business enterprises; and others. Our members are administrators,
instructors, facilitators, counselors, writers, and librarians.
